Based on the shot of Aria sitting despondently on a couch with her friends around her at :05, we assume that she fills the other Liars in on what she's learned.
Sadness, sadness everywhere. Is that Aria sitting slumped on a bench at :07? Or maybe Spencer? Whoever it is, she doesn't look happy. And it's definitely Aria who is lounging around on her bed at :10, looking incredibly depressed.
Burning pages. At :12 we see Aria burning a piece of paper. Hmm. Maybe a memory from her time with Ezra? Our could this be linked to the mystery in some way?
Could Ezra go to jail? Aria does more than mope around. At :13 she declares to Hanna that she won't be the "only one who suffers from this." "Ezra's not just gonna suffer!" Hanna counters. "He's going to go to jail." Well, yeah. He kind of deserves to, if you ask us.
Spencer is still breaking down. At :16 we get a shot of Spencer still looking a mess. Clearly, she's not done with her pill popping yet.
Who goes too far? The promo warns that "they'll all pay the price when one Liar goes too far." Is that Liar Aria? This vid certainly suggests so, thanks to...
Aria flips out! At :19 we see Aria flipping out, screaming, throwing papers, breaking lamps... The other Liars appear to walk in on her at :22. "Oh my god!" Emily gasps.
Check out these sneak peek pics from Pretty Little Liars Season 4, Episode 21 — "She's Come Undone" (February 25), where Aria (Lucy Hale) tries to find answers in Ezra's (Ian Harding) apartment after finding out he's been spying on her friends to write a tell-all book about Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) disappearance. So maybe Ezra's not "A," but he's still been super shady with Aria. Her reaction? Trash his apartment!

Emily, Hanna and Spencer are concerned for Aria as they watch their friend crumble after learning shocking news about Ezra. Not knowing what is true or what to trust, Aria goes looking for answers, not wanting to believe this revelation to be true. After finding out that Ezra (Ian Harding) is most definitely not the man she thought he was, we’d expect Aria (Lucy Hale) to be pretty pissed. However, judging from a sneak peek into the February 25 episode (appropriately entitled "She's Come Undone"), pissed doesn’t quite cover it. Try full-on crazy town!
Sure, Ezra might not be A, but Aria did just learn that her boyfriend has been sneaking around town, spying on her and her friends in order to write a tell-all book about Alison’s disappearance. Sure, it’s not the same level of betrayal we were led to suspect earlier in the season. But it's still a huge one.
As the clip reveals, Aria will go to Ezra’s apartment for answers. After finding his notes, she quickly transforms into Hurricane Aria, destroying everything in her wake. Lucy, who spoke with E! Online about the upcoming episode, gave some insight into what’s going on in Aria’s head as she comes to terms with the truth about Ezra.
“Girl goes a little crazy,” she understates. Of course, it’s not just Ezra’s betrayal that fuels her destruction. “She's upset about a lot of things. She has pent-up feelings and bottled emotions, and somewhere in the middle of the season, girlfriend just loses it."
Um, no kidding. We can’t say we blame her, though. As for what sets her off, it’s one particular observation from Ezra’s notes that incites her rage: “Aria doesn’t suspect a thing.”
Yeah, we might throw a few things, too. Can Ezra and Aria overcome this betrayal, or is this the end of Ezria forever? The end of last night’s Pretty Little Liars left Aria (Lucy Hale) in processing mode following Ezra’s confession that he not only dated Alison before she disappeared, but has been writing a book about it ever since. But it doesn’t sound like Aria is going to stay passive for long. What did executive producer Oliver Goldstick tell E! Online about her upcoming transition into anger?
“Ezra beats her heart into butter, the poor thing,” Oliver said. “The one thing I'll say is, Aria is a woman scorned. She's really angry and she's not going to just take it passively. I'm not saying she becomes a kettle of crazy, but she does lose it. This betrayal is in such a large scale that she acts out — and rightfully so!”
If the promo for Season 4, Episode 21 (“She’s Come Undone”) is any indication, Ezra’s apartment takes the brunt of it. (Watch out, typewriter!) Is it wrong that we’re a little excited to see this storyline develop? Don’t get us wrong, it was heartbreaking to watch Aria react to Ezra’s confessions, but it also gave Lucy Hale a chance to break out the old acting chops, and she was great! On the surface, Pretty Little Liars may sometimes delve dangerously close to Lifetime Original Movie dramatics, but the emotions are always earned. It doesn’t feel like these characters are over-reacting to anything or that the show is lazily manipulating us into feeling for them. The Liars have been through a lot over the past four seasons, so of course their tears are justified.
It might be easier to see Aria go into a downward spiral if we keep in mind there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. We know from the promo pics for Season 4, Episode 22 (“Cover For Me”) that there’s a new man (Nick Roux) in Aria’s life. While this wouldn’t necessarily indicated emotional improvement on its own, Aria looks surprisingly happy in the photos we’ve seen. How does she pull herself out of her spiral so quickly? It usually takes Spencer at least three or four episodes!
So, now we know Ezra Fitz's (Ian Harding) secret: He's writing a true crime novel about Alison. Or at least that's what he claims he's been up to. We're still not entirely convinced this is the full story, but either way it's a pretty huge betrayal. So, what comes next? The promo for Pretty Little Liars Season 4, Episode 21 ("She's Come Undone") reveals some interesting clues.
